When a place calls itself "The Breakfast Club", you'd rightfully expect them to be extra serious when it comes to the proverbial most important meal of the day. They certainly meet those expectations at this award-winning café.
The menu is stuffed with more or less every classic breakfast dish you can imagine, with eggs and bacon featured in a myriad of ways. There's the national treasure that is the Full Monty, of course, as well as their All-American take on it with pancakes, bacon, sausage, potatoes, eggs and maple syrup – or you can go for the Deluxe version, which upgrades the sausage to rib-eye steak. Then there's different French toast options, both sweet and savoury, an array of sandwiches and burgers, as well as spicier things such as the Club Burrito, chicken wings. You can top it all off with a stack of their pancakes, and there are plenty of smoothies, coffee and drinks to wash it all down. There's no granola, but you can get veggie or vegan versions of their main breakfast feasts.
With such a plentiful all-day breakfast bounty on offer, it's no wonder The Breakfast Club quickly spread to numerous locations around London and became a fast favourite among the city's brunch crowd. For our money, however, the Hackney Wick location edges out the others out thanks to its outdoor seating overlooking the River Lea, as well as its proximity to Hackney Marshes and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, both a great choice for a post-meal stroll to lighten the load.

The place to be for breakfast connoisseurs of Hackney. The breakfast burrito is a stand out, and their hashes are also very tasty. Love the peach ice tea as well. Dog friendly and nice staff, would recommend.
