Baqueano in Brighton was launched in 2019 by a married couple from Argentina, their aim being to showcase their knowledge and love of their country's authentic cuisine.

Serving dishes according to recipes passed down through generations and insisting on maintaining high standards when it comes to quality ingredients, the team at Baqueano works exclusively with grass-fed Angus-bread meats sourced directly from Argentina. Renowned for their softness and juiciness thanks to the omega-3 fatty acids, the meats are wet-aged in their own juices for 45 days before being served in the restaurant.

Diners at Baqueano can start their meal with traditional Argentinian dishes like empanadas or grilled sausages, before tackling the main course. Different premium cuts are available, all served with salad or chips and a selection of sauces. You can also go caballo-style by adding a pair of fried eggs to your steak, while those looking for an in-depth dive into Argentinian cuisine can opt for the hand-picked tasting menu of the most traditional dishes. Fine wines, cocktails, and other premium drinks help wash it all down, and kids get their own menu as well.
