Scarfes Bar at the 5-star Rosewood London hotel in Holborn is named after famed British caricaturist Gerald Scarfe. In fact, it's designed with his input as well, serving as a sort of personal art gallery for the artist.

Not only do his entertaining paintings adorn the marble walls of the fashionably cosy Scarfes Bar – what's left of the walls between the shelves packed with over 1,000 hand-picked antique books, that is – you can find his work all over the menu and website as well. You can even buy his originals or prints, or commission your very own piece directly from him.

If you're not at Scarfes Bar for the art, however, you must be there for the drinks. The sophisticated drawing room atmosphere of the sociable venue is perfect for indulging in cheekily named concoctions such as the Monkey Business (yes, there's banana in there) or the My Tie made with Appleton 12, Amàrico, mango & Espelette pepper and clarified almond.
