The Dove Hammersmith

The Dove has been a mainstay in London's pub scene for centuries and has a long, storied history. It's set alongside the River Thames and was the local favourite for many a literary great, including Ernest Hemingway, Dylan Thomas, Graham Greene and William Morris, who lived next door. Inside is small and dominated by dark wood with a low, panelled ceiling. There's also a cosy covered courtyard adorned with hanging ivy, which is ideal for enjoying semi-al fresco drinks.
