A favourite among Walthamstow locals, Bühler and Co is a light café close to Hoe Street that offers suitably light breakfast and brunch fare. It's definitely one for the veggies and vegans, with a plant-based menu that's inspired by food from all over the world.

Vegan bagels with tempeh or breakfast bagels with halloumi and egg, brioche French toast with thyme-roasted peach or cheddar and sundried tomato quinoa cakes with spicy Mexican mole sauce – the influences really do come from all ends of the globe and pack in plenty of vegetable freshness. If you're looking for something more traditional, they've got you covered with eggs made to your liking, avocado on toast with dukkah, house-made granola or even a proper veggie fry-up. The changing special keeps things interesting for repeat customers, and whatever you end up going for, the option to add a flaky paratha is always good to have. As for the drinks, there's all sorts of coffee and brunchy cocktails – Bloody Marys, mimosas, Aperol spritz and more – as well as cold-pressed juices, among other items. Some of the smoothies, such as the peanut butter & banana, are almost meals in and of themselves, or you can double down with a milkshake.

The front of the house is a sparsely furnished café space that often features pieces by local artists. Hidden in the back, however, is a charming patio where you can relax and feast in nice weather.
