Friends of Ours

Friends of Ours är ett café på 61 Pitfield Street, Shoreditch i London.

Australian brunches are known around the world for their heaped plates of wholesome, nutritious and incredibly flavourful goodness that get you ready for the day, accompanied by a properly brewed cup of coffee. Friends of Ours strives to bring a taste of the good Antipodean life to the Hoxton neighbourhood.

Friends of Ours is a cosy café with ample outside seating in nice weather, located halfway between the Old Street roundabout and Shoreditch Park. The snug, unpretentious venue features simple wooden furnishings and is decorated with artwork by a rotating selection of local artists, which you can also purchase. 

The menu is stacked with intriguing brunch dishes that highlight Australian culinary principles such as relying on fresh, natural ingredients, or looking to Asia for flavourful twists. You can try dishes such as Green Eggs with labneh, greens, zhoug, hazelnut dukkah and organic sourdough, tofu Banh Mi with crispy smoked tofu, vegan mayo, pickled carrots & daikon, spring onions, coriander and red chilli in a banh mi baguette, or Lamb Shoulder Ragu with gnocchi, pecorino and fresh herbs.

Simpler classics such as eggs on toast or porridge are available as well, and don't forget to add a side of smashed avo. Pastries and treats are also offered, along with fresh coffee, brunch cocktails, house-made lemonade and other refreshing drinks. Best of all, Friends of Ours have linked up with local suppliers such as the Dusty Knuckle Bakery and Dark Arts Coffee to ensure quality ingredients in all their food.
