I bought some sea bream today—four large ones for £17. While a staff member was cleaning my fish, his colleague added a few smaller ones to his station. I didn’t pay much attention since I was also buying some cod. When I got home, I found I had two large and two small sea breams instead of the four large ones I paid for. I weighed them, and the difference was about 200g.
I returned to the shop and explained the issue. First, they tried to convince me the fish were the same size. Then they denied switching them. Finally, they claimed the weight difference was due to cleaning, as some fish have more in their gut. I asked politely for them to make it right, but they refused.
Be cautious if you shop here. As for me, I’ll never return. I feel cheated and disappointed—they’ve lost a customer for good.
