Humble Chicken

Humble Chicken är en restaurang på 54 Frith Street, Soho i London.

This, ahem, humble eatery offers a fresh take on chef Angelo Sato's (Trinity, Story, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay …) tried-and-true solo venture. Instead of the previous head-to-tail chicken yakitori concept, the new version of Humble Chicken serves a multiple-course tasting menu of Japanese food with European influences – miso-cured foie gras, for example, or grilled and slow-cooked short rib with lettuce.

Tokyo-born Angelo Sato is a fast-rising star on London's dining scene. Having trained under the likes of Gordon Ramsay and Tom Sellers, the ambitious young chef opened his first solo venture, the Humble Chicken yakitori bar in 2021. Following its success, he updated and refreshed the concept a few years later, taking things to the next level by serving a multiple-course omakase experience drawing on his Japanese and European roots. The decision paid off immediately, with Humble Chicken 2.0 receiving its first Michelin star within a year.

The snug Soho restaurant is designed to provide a kitchen theatre experience, with the side-by-side counter seats ensuring full view of the chefs at work, though limited outdoor seating is provided as well. The upmarket tasting menu changes daily, with an optional drink pairing as well.
