At Kin + Deum, Thai siblings Roselyn, Shakris and Bank work together to bring the diversity of Thailand’s capital to the dishes they serve.

With people from all over Thailand and the world converging in Bangkok, the city is known for the variety of its culinary scene. Different traditions meet, evolve and cross-pollinate in bursts of intense flavour, and the trio behind Kin + Deum strives to offer that excitement and innovation at their restaurant next to London Bridge. The venue they’ve selected for their mission is a minimal but trendy space that includes a long communal table in addition to separate seating. Pet owners will be happy to hear animals of all kinds are welcome as well.

Kin + Deum’s philosophy involves harnessing and showcasing the natural flavours of their carefully sourced ingredients in recipes that have stood the test of time. Expect nourishing Thai staples such as spicy pad kee mao noodles, pad thai, katsu curry and the head chef’s signature massaman curry. Starters such as lotus butterfly flower rolls, golden chicken skewers or emerald banana fritters can be enjoyed by themselves or as sides.

The menu is paired with cocktails brought over from the proprietors’ favourite Bangkok bars, for example the gin and tonic infused with Thai tea, or the coconut lychee mojito. You can also order authentic Thai beverages such as iced milk tea, or one of the refreshing plant tonics.
