La Finestra is a little South London secret where gourmet focaccia sandwiches are handed to you through a window behind a barber shop. Ring the bell on Merton Road and you'll be rewarded with warm, fluffy bread stuffed with things like burrata, Parma ham, truffle cream, or mortadella with pistachio pesto. It's the brainchild of Stefano, an Italian hospitality vet who decided London needed proper focaccia that tastes like home. There are salads and Birra Moretti too, but really, you're here for the sandwiches.
