Having experienced the devastating environmental impact of humanity’s habits first-hand while growing up in Amazonia, the founder of Oliveira Kitchen set out to discover new, less damaging ways of enjoying food. At his Shoreditch restaurant, he strives to showcase nature’s bounty through innovative vegetarian cuisine.

Using fresh, organic produce, seasonal ingredients and exclusively foraged rarities, Oliveira Kitchen serves creative vegetarian dishes in the trendy setting of its cosy venue. Beneath a deep red ceiling, the wooden tables and the indoor hanging garden overlooking the staircase give off a natural vibe, gently suffused in the ambient lighting. You can also sit at the window to look out at the urban jungle instead, or behind the chef’s table.

The menu at Oliveira Kitchen draws culinary inspiration from all over the world, reimagining well-known dishes such as foie gras and tempura calamari with vegetarian ingredients. The Oliveira’s Faux Gras, for example, is made with chestnuts, Brazil nuts, walnut and wild mushroom, while the Forest Floor Calamari use wild kaong seeds, the so-called calamari of the forest, in tempura. You can choose different specialties off the à la carte menu, such as Sea Flora Risotto or medallions of Italian celeriac. There is also a unique nine-course tasting menu experience you can book, as well as seasonal tasting menus such as the Summer Truffle Menu. There’s also a wide variety of organic wines to pair with your meal.
