Offering upscale luxury at a more affordable price, you'd be forgiven for thinking Batty Langley's founders had looted some poor lordly chap's 18th-century palace for their furnishings. The vibrant, beautifully decorated bedrooms, each with its own character, boast carefully restored antiques, canopy beds, finely carved headboards, a wealth of rich fabrics, heavy curtains, gilded taps and more, all carefully arranged for showstopping impact. That's not to say the modern amenities are lacking, as each bedroom comes with a flat-screen TV, media hub, free WiFi and more.
