Went for afternoon tea here and it was exquisite - really nice setting with every detail thought of, some of the best scones I've ever had, and extremely friendly staff. The hotel interiors are beautiful as well.

De Nadas Empanadas Bethnal Green

A varied assortment of empanadas with interesting filling combos to choose from here, but they're pretty small for the price, especially compared to some other empanadas places. The cafe is nice enough, but nothing special, and a bit awkwardly laid out with the counter right next to the entrance.

Love the pastries and donuts here, they're really good at creating things that sound over the top, but come in at just the right level of sweetness. This new Oxford Street branch seems to be quite busy, so it can be hard to get a table, but the treats travel well and come packaged really nicely...
