How many times have you looked at your boring old tap and thought how marvelous it would be if it suddenly started flowing with, say, champagne? Well, the team at Bob Bob Ricard must have been thinking along those lines as well, because they went ahead and installed a "Press for Champagne" button at every table. And yes, that's exactly what it sounds like – you press a button and here comes the champagne.

Crazy, perhaps even dangerous? Sure. Something you'll have a hard time finding elsewhere? Absolutely. The glitz doesn't stop there, though. The iconic Soho restaurant's dining booths are supposedly famed designer David Collins' most flamboyant creation and harken back to the Golden Age of Travel on trains, along with a dash of daring that'll have you feeling like James Bond rather than Agatha Christie.

The menu also seems tailor-made for a luxurious journey on the Orient Express, with British dishes such as pies and Beef Wellington mingling with French staples such as steak tartare and Russian classics such as vareniki dumplings and Chicken Kyiv. There's a selection of caviar to go with the champagne button, of course, while wine connoisseurs are sure to be delighted by the restaurant's policy of a £50 cap on the mark-up of fine wines. And if you're into harder liquor, you can try your hand at the chilled vodka shots. Wisely, those are not available at the mere push of a button.
